MADISON (WKOW) — The local charity dedicated to a young boy who never made it to kindergarten is trying to help other kids get ready for school.
Dominic’s Ripple was started after the death of Dominic May, a 5-year-old who dreamed of becoming a police officer before he died in an accident.
Dominic made an impression on Madison Police Chief Mike Koval and now the department is helping the nonprofit with its second annual school supply drive.
“Those are lessons that we learned very much from Dominic and the way he conducted his life and his family has continued to help us be infused and inspired by what that little guy meant to so many people,” says Chief Koval.
School supplies can be dropped off at any of the police stations in Madison.
They’ll be given out before the first day of school.
